The Orlando Magic have been busy over the last year with reconstructing the core of its roster. The team moved on from veterans like Nikola Vucevic, Aaron Gordon, and Evan Fournier at the NBA trade deadline and maximized its positioning in the 2021 NBA Draft.
After landing the No. 5 and No. 8 overall picks in the 2021 NBA Draft, the Magic turned those selections into Jalen Suggs and Franz Wagner, both of whom are players that can make an immediate impact in Orlando.
Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics hold aspirations of contenting for a championship with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown in the mix. The team opted to move on from Kemba Walker using a trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder all for him to receive a buyout and sign for $8 million to play for the New York Knicks.
There is a real case to be made that Boston still needs to add a point guard into the mix. The team has been linked to a few names throughout the offseason but as of late the rumors has been linked to NBA free agent to Dennis Schroder without a deal amount from it.
