Does this trade make sense for the Los Angeles Clippers?

The point guard has turned into the most-important position in the NBA. That goes for the Clippers as well, despite the star-power at small forward. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George makeup one of the best duos in the league but the Clippers could still use some depth at the top of the offense.

This is why they decided to bring Jackson back. He put up some strong performances when it was needed most in the postseason. Jackson is the starter but Dragic could benefit the team coming off the bench.

As good as Beverley is defensively, he does not scare anybody on the offensive end. Dragic can put the ball in the basket and play valuable minutes in the middle of games. He has experience playing with impact wings and knows how to set them up in position to be successful.

Dragic is a starting-caliber guard so the fact that he would come off the bench for Los Angeles is a huge benefit. Having Reggie Jackson back prevented a glaring hole, but it would help to have a talented pick-and-roll ball handler to play heavy minutes off-the-bench.

The Clippers have to do what it takes to accomplish their ultimate goal. Leonard is back and that was step one. Now, it is important to get the depth needed to last for a long postseason run.
