2. Kristaps Porzingis

The Dallas Mavericks have made a point this offseason to continue surrounding star point guard Luka Doncic with some more 3-point shooters. The two players they agreed to deals with in free agency, Sterling Brown and Reggie Bullock, are both excellent 3-point shooters. They also re-signed Tim Hardaway Jr., who has arguably been the team’s second-best player.

But, the team still needs more to get over the hump. Targeting someone such as Buddy Hield would bring even more firepower to the Mavericks’ offense.

Hield is a perfect complement to Doncic offensively. His 3-point shooting is near elite, as he is a career 40.6 percent shooter on 7.4 attempts per game. That kind of high-volume would play well in Dallas, where opposing defenses key in on Doncic and he constantly finds teammates around the perimeter for open shots.

For the Sacramento Kings, Kristaps Porzingis would help solidify their frontcourt. While he has some red flags, such as his contract and injury history, he would be worth the risk for Sacramento.

The Kings need to get out of the doldrums and stars aren’t lining up to play there. Acquiring a former All-Star in Kristaps Porzingis could help them get back into the playoffs.
