3. Josh Hart
The Sacramento Kings had been mentioned as a possible sign-and-trade destination for Dennis Schroder. The Los Angeles Lakers were looking to flip him as part of a new deal to get Buddy Hield in Los Angeles.
The Kings, however, have no use for Schroder, especially after using the No. 9 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft on Baylor point guard, Davion Mitchell.
But, a sign-and-trade would present a good option for Sacramento. They should target New Orleans Pelicans shooting guard/small forward, Josh Hart.
Hart is currently a restricted free agent that has yet to sign a deal. He is reportedly looking for a fresh start after spending the last two seasons with the Pelicans. The Kings could be that fresh start.

Sacramento could certainly use a player like Hart. He would bring some toughness and defense to a team that had the worst defensive rating in NBA history during the 2020-21 season. He would also help balance out the roster, giving them some more depth on the wing where Maurice Harkless and Harrison Barnes are all they have unless Hield is pushed there in some situations.
Hart isn’t the flashiest name but would give the Kings’ roster a boost they are looking for.
