1. Pascal Siakam

There have been some rumors that the Toronto Raptors are shopping power forward Pascal Siakam. Those rumors got louder when the Raptors used the fourth pick in the 2021 NBA Draft on Florida State power forward, Scotty Barnes.

The Sacramento Kings are one team that has reportedly wanted a shot at acquiring Siakam, and it makes sense. They need a more consistent presence in their frontcourt as Marvin Bagley III has not panned out as hoped. He and Buddy Hield could be the core of a package sent to Toronto in exchange for Siakam.

Siakam has come into his own the last three seasons with the Raptors, including an All-Star appearance in 2020. He has developed into a strong two-way player, as he provides a great scoring punch and versatile defense.

The defense is what the Kings would like to have the most, as they couldn’t stop anyone last season. Having someone, anyone, that can get the job done defensively would be a step in the right direction.

For Toronto, they would be able to continue retooling and reshaping their roster around their younger core of Gary Trent Jr., OG Anunoby and Barnes.
