Sacramento Kings: Richaun Holmes

The Sacramento Kings are in an extremely awkward spot entering the offseason. They have a bright young backcourt duo in De’Aaron Fox and Tyrese Haliburton to build around moving forward. That being said, they don’t have much else on the roster that makes you think they can escape NBA purgatory.

So for a team that doesn’t have much of a bright outlook, re-signing Richaun Holmes may be the best move they can conduct this offseason. Holmes has earned himself a massive raise this summer after putting together two productive years with the Kings. There are going to be center-needy teams that attempt to sign Holmes, but Sacramento may be able to offer him the most money.

San Antonio Spurs: John Collins

It seems like forever ago that the San Antonio Spurs were considered the model organization in the NBA. The Spurs were constantly competing for championships and players wanted a chance to win a title, so they would join San Antonio in hopes of achieving that. Those days are long gone, but with Greg Popovich still at the helm, maybe the Spurs can lure a big-name free agent this summer.

John Collins fits the description of a player that San Antonio would love to add to the roster. A power forward that can stretch the floor and bring energy to the defensive end would pay dividends. If the Spurs can offer Collins a contract that the Hawks aren’t willing to match, maybe San Antonio can get themselves one of the most-coveted players on the open market.

Utah Jazz: Mike Conley

Similar to Paul’s situation with the Suns, I don’t see a scenario where Mike Conley leaves the Utah Jazz. Unless Donovan Mitchell requests a trade, there is no incentive in Conley leaving in the coming months. The veteran point guard has excelled as Mitchell’s running mate in the back court, making his first career All-Star team this season.

Also, there’s the fact that other contending teams are in need of point guards, which could make Conley a wanted free agent this summer. The Jazz need to make sure that they don’t allow Conley to sign elsewhere or things could begin to take a turn for the worse in Utah.
