Boston Celtics
The Indiana Pacers and Boston Celtics have engaged in trade talks centered around Myles Turner previously. Last offseason, the Pacers reportedly offered Boston Turner, a rotation player and first-round pick in exchange for Gordon Hayward.
The Celtics declined, which in hindsight was the wrong decision to make. But, it sounds like they will have a chance to rectify that wrong. According to our own Evan Massey, the two sides have engaged in trade talks once again.
Just as it would have been a good landing spot last year, the Celtics is a good landing spot for Turner this year. His presence on both ends of the court would be welcomed with open arms in Beantown.
His 3-point shooting would help open things up for Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown to operate offensively. Too often things would bog down and they would have to bail the team out. Defensively, Turner would help this Celtics team turn things around on defense, where they just set a franchise record for the worst defensive rating in team history.

The Celtics don’t have a first-round draft pick to offer this year, as that was sent to Oklahoma City in the Kemba Walker deal. Marcus Smart could be used as a centerpiece to a deal, with young players such as Romeo Langford, Aaron Nesmith and Robert Williams III being used to bolster the package. A future first-round pick could also be included should Brad Stevens get the go-ahead to trade another one away.
