Charlotte Hornets
The No. 1 need for the Charlotte Hornets this offseason is a center. Nick Richards and Vernon Carey Jr. are the only centers currently on the roster, as Cody Zeller and Bismack Biyombo are both free agents.
While Charlotte could opt to re-sign one of them for depth, the team could use an upgrade in the middle. Myles Turner would be just that.
The high-flying Hornets’ offense would not be slowed down by the addition of Turner. He should find plenty of open looks with LaMelo Ball initiating the offense and there being so many other talents around him. Turner would likely be the fourth option in the starting lineup for the Hornets, but he has shown he can impact the game offensively without the ball in his hands.
Having a center as good defensively as Turner is would help Charlotte turn things around on that end of the court. Their 112 defensive rating is similar to what the Pacers’ defensive rating was without Turner on the court.

A package built around Gordon Hayward, whom the Indiana Pacers have tried landing in the past, could be a good starting point. Charlotte also has the No. 11 overall pick at their disposal that they could put in a package.
