Charlotte Hornets
While a lot of the focus this offseason will be on the frontcourt for the Charlotte Hornets, as they need a center, a need could open up in the backcourt as well.
Devonte Graham is entering free agency and the Hornets might be hard-pressed to keep the scoring guard. There are a number of teams that could pursue him aggressively and with their point guard of the future in LaMelo Ball already on the roster, handing a lucrative long-term deal to Graham may not be something they want to do.
If the Hornets want to look elsewhere for a point guard, Isaiah Thomas would be a good option. He would come a lot cheaper than Graham and offer some of the same impacts, as both are undersized guards that can fill up the bucket.
When Thomas signed a 10-day contract with the New Orleans Pelicans, it showed that he just wants to be back in the NBA and he won’t be picky about his landing spot.

While the Hornets are still a little bit away from being a contender, they would provide Thomas with an opportunity at consistent playing time and the chance to showcase that he belongs on an NBA roster.
