Brooklyn Nets
For a team with the salary cap of the Brooklyn Nets, they will be turning over every rock to find productive players. They won’t have much money to offer free agents, but a veteran such as Isaiah Thomas wouldn’t cost too much to sign. He would also fill a potential need on the team.
The Nets could lose Spencer Dinwiddie this offseason. Dinwiddie declined his player option for the 2021-22 season, opting instead to become a free agent. Prior to tearing his ACL in the third game of the 2020-21 season, Dinwiddie was penciled in as the team’s sixth man.
With him, Tyler Johnson and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot all free agents, and Mike James and Bruce Brown only having qualifying offers, there could be a need in the backcourt.
James and Johnson and James both made appearances during the postseason as the Nets battled injuries to Kyrie Irving and James Harden.

Having an experienced veteran such as Thomas to turn to at the end of the Nets’ bench would give Steve Nash a level of comfortability they did not have this season.
