Over the years, we’ve always seen rumors around the NBA suggesting that Carmelo Anthony could join forces with LeBron James.

Even when James was part of a dynamic trio alongside Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, there were fans and analysts discussing ways for Anthony to head to South Beach. Could Anthony finally team up with James but instead with the Lakers?

In recent years, there has been multiple opportunities for the Los Angeles Lakers to make a push for Anthony, but they haven’t shown interest in trading for him.

This time around, the Lakers could sign Anthony outright without needing to offload any of their assets for him. Los Angeles would get someone that can lead the scoring charge in the second unit and Anthony would finally be on a team that has their eye on a title.
