Does this trade make sense for the Los Angeles Clippers?

Getting a long-term solution at point guard would be fantastic for the Los Angeles Clippers this offseason. It remains to be seen if the team views Reggie Jackson as starting material, even after his stellar performance in the postseason.

Once again, Leonard isn’t going to be available to begin next season, making their need at point guard even more urgent. Pushing for a trade that lands Malcolm Brogdon would be ideal for multiple reasons.

Brogdon is a combo guard that is extremely efficient and can fit alongside Leonard and George well due to not needing the ball to be effective.

The former second-round pick out of Virginia had the best season of his career this season, recording 21.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game while making 38.8 percent of his outside shots. His ability to switch on defense and create for others are valuable traits that the Clippers need at the point guard position.

Even though it’s highly improbable that Los Angeles could make a move for Brogdon without getting a third team involved, they should make this move in a heartbeat if it was on the table.
