Does this trade make sense for the Indiana Pacers?
Following another year where they missed out on the playoffs, the Indiana Pacers can shakeup the roster a bit this summer. Myles Turner seems poised to be traded before next season and Malcolm Brogdon’s name continues to appear in trade rumors as the offseason begins.
If Indiana is willing to entertain offers for Brogdon, they could probably get a decent return for the former Rookie of the Year.
Given the fact that there are plenty of teams searching for a point guard and Brogdon is viewed positively in the NBA, the Pacers could very well get a better return from another team than they would with the Clippers.
Kennard isn’t an exciting young player, but he does add much-needed shooting to Indiana’s rotation. Beverley gives the Pacers an enforcer at the point guard position and he could be a placeholder, especially if T.J. McConnell doesn’t return in free agency.

So considering that Brogdon’s trade value is at a decent spot following a career year, Indiana would be best taking their business elsewhere to get more for the veteran guard.
