Does this trade make sense for the Philadelphia 76ers?
The time has come for the Philadelphia 76ers to completely build around Joel Embiid. Philadelphia fans are tough and they do not forget. This does not bode well for Simmons, especially if he does not improve on the offensive end. If history if any indication, this shows that he will continue to struggle.
Philadelphia is not going anywhere anytime soon. Daryl Morey has put together a well-rounded team and has the right head coach in Doc Rivers.
The 76ers added shooters on the perimeter and this room their attack to the next level. Grant would be a perfect fit on both ends. He is an elite defender and knows how to use his length.
Offensively, Grant showed that he can score from anywhere on the floor. He has played on postseason teams and knows how to stay in his role.

Grant seems like the perfect player to be added to the Sixers if they want to continue to take that next step. There will have to be some moves made and Simmons being sent away could be first on the list.
