Indiana Pacers
The Indiana Pacers were the first team to reportedly have sent an offer to the Philadelphia 76ers centered around Ben Simmons. They offered Malcolm Brogdon and the No. 13 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft for him but were turned away.
Now that the 76ers are shopping Simmons, the Pacers are likely to continue trying to acquire him. But, if they are unable to land Simmons, they could turn their attention to Russell Westbrook.
While Westbrook isn’t on the same level as Simmons defensively, he would bring a lot to the table that the Pacers would like. He would have just as big of an impact on the team’s rebounding as Simmons would and the playmaking is on par with each other. Where Westbrook blows him away is offensive.
Westbrook has never been shy about getting his shot, something Simmons is hesitant to do.

His efficiency has dropped in recent seasons, but being surrounded by a better supporting cast like the Pacers can provide him could cause an uptick in those shooting numbers.
