Modernizes The Offense
One of the biggest knocks against the New York Knicks this past season was their inability to score consistently. They relied heavily upon Julius Randle and RJ Barrett to create the offense, but the team lacked spacing.
The Knicks always had at least one, if not two, non-shooters on the floor. They received a minimal offensive punch from the center position and starting point guard Elfrid Payton was not a good shooter. Someone like Myles Turner would alleviate some of those issues.
Turner is a solid 3-point shooter, knocking down 35.2 percent of his attempts in his career. That kind of spacing would help Tom Thibodeau scheme a more modern offense, as his big man could pull opposing centers away from the basket.
That would open attacking lanes for Barrett, Randle and whoever takes over as the point guard to exploit. Having a center that can score outside of lobs and putbacks would help the Knicks improve upon their 23rd ranked offensive rating.

With an elite defense, even putting an average overall offense on the court would make the Knicks a very dangerous team to deal with during the 2021-22 season.
