What a run it was for the Memphis Grizzlies this season. Even with a roster that didn’t seem prepared for a postseason push, the Grizzlies snuck into the playoffs as the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference.
The Grizzlies took down the San Antonio Spurs and the Golden State Warriors in the play-in tournament to secure their spot in the playoffs.
While Ja Morant, Dillon Brooks, and Jaren Jackson Jr. are considered their core right now, the Grizzlies could use a veteran in their back court. Now, Memphis needs more veteran talent in the supporting cast.
Desmond Bane flashed potential as a rookie this year, but Will Barton would be an upgrade for a team looking to return to the playoffs in the 2021-22 season. The Grizzlies need to maximize the perimeter shooting they have around Morant and this would be an intriguing way to dos.

If the Grizzlies choose to keep Jonas Valanciunas this offseason, a starting lineup of Morant, Brooks, Barton, Jackson, and Valanciunas is a solid group to move forward with.
