Bad Fit: Toronto Raptors
Similar to Ball for the Pelicans, the writing is on the wall for Kyle Lowry to leave the Toronto Raptors this offseason. Of course, there’s a chance that Lowry elects to have a change of heart and re-sign with the Raptors.
With Lowry expected to be on his way out, Toronto has to fill the void left behind by the All-Star guard. Most people are projecting the Raptors to take Lowry’s replacement in the 2021 NBA Draft.
At the same time, Fred VanVleet is more than capable of becoming the point guard for the Raptors next season.
Given the fact that the Raptors are already paying a few guys a ton of money, it makes no sense for them to pursue Kemba Walker via trade. It would likely take one of Pascal Siakam, OG Anunoby, VanVleet, or Chris Boucher to land Walker in a trade.

None of those players are worth giving up for Walker and with the Raptors having capable guards on the roster already, Walker’s role with the team would be sporadic, which would cause issues within the team.
