Good Fit: New Orleans Pelicans

Entering free agency, it seems as if the New Orleans Pelicans are content with Lonzo Ball signing elsewhere despite him being a restricted free agent.

Since the consensus is that Ball won’t be back in New Orleans, the Pelicans are going to need to find a new point guard. Given the inexperience that resides on the team’s roster, Kemba Walker would be a welcomed addition for New Orleans.

While Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson need to remain prevalent in the offense, Walker can be the third option on the team.

Even though being the third option didn’t work with the Celtics, Ingram and Williamson are a slightly different duo than Tatum and Brown.

In his two years with Boston, Walker averaged 19.9 points and 4.8 assists per game while making 37.2 percent of his outside shots. Instead of being a go-to scoring option, Walker may be best taking a playmaking role on a team like the Pelicans to prolong his career.
