Does this trade make sense for the Miami Heat?
There have been plenty of big names, especially at the point-guard position, that the Miami Heat have been linked to. This would not land them that star at the top of the offense but they would get some help along the perimeter. This is something that could be important for Miami when looking at how free agency could transpire within the roster.
Duncan Robinson has quickly turned into one of the top shooters in the league. He is entering free agency and could get a lucrative contract for another team other than the Heat. This would be a big loss that the Heat should be looking to replace in any way possible.
If Beasley is the option, then it is a good one. He showed that he can score from all three levels and be an exciting player along the perimeter. This would only continue with a better supporting cast on a team that is interested in winning right away.
Beasley would be an intriguing option if Robinson were to return to the team, too. He is a more dynamic scorer than Tyler Herro and could fill the role that Miami felt as though Victor Oladipo was going to be capable of achieving when they acquired him at the NBA trade deadline.

This would not be an expensive deal for the Miami Heat given the off-the-court headlines that Beasley has made. They would be able to hang onto Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, which should be the ultimate goal of the Heat moving forward.
