Does this trade make sense for the Cleveland Cavaliers?
Cleveland has plenty of time left on its rebuild. They landed the third-overall pick in the draft and that will help kick it into gear but there have been plenty of moving parts over the last year. This trade could make more happen immediately.
Sexton is at the point where he can still be moved and acclimate himself to the new team. He has the skill to work in any system and the Cavaliers can take advantage in many trades.
Herro would be a welcomed addition because of the leadership ability he has showed at a young age. His size would make for a cleaner fit alongside Darius Garland along with Isaac Okoro
With Kevin Love potentially on his way out, Cleveland needs that voice on and off the court to lead a young team. Herro is entering his third year but already has established himself.

The Cavaliers have been rebuilding through the NBA Draft and they could continue with a trade such as this one. Instead of paying big money to Collin Sexton, Cleveland would turn elsewhere to concentrate their roster construction around.
