Does this trade make sense for the Miami Heat?
The Miami Heat have a history of big moves made in hopes of building that next winner. Their NBA Finals run was a bit of a fluke down in the bubble and that showed this season. With some pending free agents coming up, Miami could look a bit different next season.
Duncan Robinson is one name hitting the open market but will do so as a restricted free agent. He has a chance to land a big contract and Miami might not be the team to give it to him.
The Heat will have to improve the perimeter and Collin Sexton could be that option at the top of the offense. He has shown an ability to score from all over the floor and will help the Heat’s want to win immediately.
As previously mentioned, Goran Dragic could end up elsewhere if the Heat manage to find a more permanent solution to the point guard position. Getting a trade done before the free agency action would only further that notion and open up potential flexibility.

Miami will have plenty of options and they will have to decide which is worth it to pull the trigger on. It will be interesting to watch once the offseason begins.
