Charlotte Hornets
The Charlotte Hornets are another team facing some depth issues in the middle. With Bismack Biyombo and Cody Zeller hitting free agency, the unproven Vernon Carey Jr. and Nick Richards are the only centers left. Nerlens Noel would fill that gap at the center spot nicely.
The Hornets have a lot of dynamic scorers on their roster in LaMelo Ball, Terry Rozier, Gordon Hayward, Miles Bridges and P.J. Washington. But, they need some defenders to round it out.
Having Noel as the anchor of defense would greatly improve the Hornets, as his 2.2 blocks per game would come in handy as the last line of defense.
Noel would also provide a good complement to P.J. Washington in the frontcourt. Noel’s offensive shortcomings would be compensated for by Washington’s offensive game, while his shortcomings on defense would be covered up by Noel.

Noel’s ability to impact the game without needing to have the ball in his hands would fit in well with the Hornets.
