The Washington Wizards are locked into the All-Star duo of Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook and need to fill the roster out around them. The center position could be where they look to spend some money this offseason.

The Wizards began the season with Thomas Bryant manning the middle, but he tore his ACL in January. That led to the team signing Alex Len off of free agency after he was waived by the Toronto Raptors. He will be a free agent again, along with Robin Lopez.

That leaves Daniel Gafford as the only healthy center on the roster heading into the offseason. Gafford played well for the Wizards after being acquired from the Chicago Bulls in a trade before the deadline. Pairing a veteran with him would be a smart move and Nerlens Noel could be that veteran.

Given his lower-body injury history, relying on Noel to play heavy minutes could wear him down. Having a good center that can share minutes with him upfront is an ideal situation for him to land him.

The Wizards also wouldn’t be hampered by his lack of offense, as they have a dynamic duo in the backcourt and sharpshooter Davis Bertans next to him at power forward.
