Kyle Kuzma’s Fit Skill-Wise and Salary Wise
Adding a versatile forward like Kyle Kuzma to the roster would be a good move for the Kings as he brings a lot to the table to help them.
While he isn’t an All-NBA Defender, Kuzma has made major strides on that end of the court and would help a Sacramento team that had the worst defensive rating in NBA history during the 2020-21 season.
In addition to that, he would provide the Kings with the wing scorer they need, especially if Hield is moved. Kuzma has proven, even during the last two seasons, when he is given the opportunities he can make the most of them and produce solid numbers.
From a salary perspective, Kuzma would also give the Kings some much-needed salary relief. Hield is owed $51.4 million over the next three years on his contract, while Kuzma is owed only $40, as his 3-year extension kicks in this upcoming season.

Having some extra money to spend, in addition to a possible 2021 first-round pick they could acquire along with him, the Kings would have some avenues to improving their roster around their budding backcourt.
