Uncertainty Of The Frontcourt
Even if Buddy Hield is traded this offseason, the Kings are set for the foreseeable future in the backcourt with De’Aaron Fox and Tyrese Haliburton. They are the future of the franchise, as Fox has taken his game to another level and Haliburton had a Rookie of the Year worthy first season.
While the backcourt is in good hands, the same cannot be said for the frontcourt. Veteran Harrison Barnes is a popular trade target for contending teams looking to bolster their frontcourt.
Marvin Bagley III cannot stay healthy and looks like a big miss seeing as he was selected ahead of Luka Doncic. Center Richaun Holmes is entering free agency and could be on the move as well.
With so much uncertainty, Kuzma would bring some balance to the frontcourt rotation. Swapping him for Hield would help the team balance out the roster, as the frontcourt needs some depth.

Behind De’Aaron Fox and Tyrese Haliburton, the Kings also have Delon Wright, who played well in a combo guard role.
