Philadelphia 76ers
It was yet another season that ended in disappointment for the Philadelphia 76ers despite being the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference.
The 76ers seemed poised for a run to the NBA Finals, only for them to collapse versus the Hawks, in large part due to the play of Ben Simmons. There is now uncertainty surrounding the future of Simmons on the 76ers this summer.
With Philadelphia needing a point guard that isn’t afraid to shoot the ball, D’Angelo Russell is a fearless shooter that will continue to shoot, even when he’s struggling to make shots (for better or worse).
Joel Embiid needs more spacing around him, and Simmons’ lack of an outside shot makes him a less-than-ideal fit with the All-Star big man.

As for Russell, he would improve the shooting on the team and be a remarkable fit with Embiid. Maybe the 76ers and the Timberwolves discuss a Simmons for Russell swap in the coming months.
