Indiana Pacers
Ahead of the 2021 NBA Draft near the end of July, there are reports that the Rockets have spoken to the Indiana Pacers about the No. 13 overall pick.
Those same reports revealed that Indiana is looking for a player that isn’t on an expiring contract. Given the current makeup of Houston’s roster, Eric Gordon is a player that makes a ton of sense for both sides.
During the offseason, the Pacers could move on from Malcolm Brogdon, allowing Caris LeVert to take on more of a floor general role.
Gordon is under contract through the 2023-24 season, with the 2023-24 season being non-guaranteed unless he reaches certain incentives. With a need for more shooting and someone that can provide a spark off of the bench, Indiana could use Gordon.

Getting an experienced player that brings a variety of skills on the offensive end could be exactly what Rick Carlisle is looking for in his first year as the head coach of the Pacers.
