At Least One Expiring Deal Is Dealt
The Indiana Pacers have multiple expiring contracts that could be used to facilitate deals and lessen some of their salary cap this season. T.J. Warren, Jerremy Lamb and Aaron Holiday all fit under that description.
Warren is recovering from season-ending surgery, so trading him seems unlikely. Holiday, who has already been mentioned in NBA trade rumors, and Lamb are the likelier two to be on the move.
Trading either one could net the Pacers another draft pick, which the team would like to have because of their locked-in cost. Given how expensive the top half of the roster is, adding some younger players on rookie salaries makes sense to balance out the salary cap.
Indiana has done well unearthing diamonds in the rough, such as Oshae Brissett and Edmond Sumner, so having another crack at doing so could yield similar results.

Moving on from at least one of the expiring contracts will also make this next bold prediction a lot easier to accomplish.
