Indiana Pacers
The Indiana Pacers have been shopping Myles Turner for a long time. The Boston Celtics have been a popular landing spot for him and Marcus Smart would be a good centerpiece for the Pacers to target in a deal.
The Pacers current roster is loaded with offensive talent. Caris LeVert, Domantas Sabonis, T.J. Warren and Malcolm Brodgdon can all fill it up. However, outside of Brogdon, there aren’t many players that can stop opponents from scoring; Smart can.
Sliding Smart into a lineup alongside those four would give the Pacers some excellent two-way potential. Offensively, the ball movement would be stellar as Brogdon, LeVert and Sabonis are all great playmakers.
As arguably the Pacers’ last option offensively, Smart’s inefficient offense would not be as damaging. Hopefully, his percentage would rise as he wouldn’t be counted on as much to score the ball.

Snagging a player such as Smart would help the Pacers balance out their roster, which is rather frontcourt heavy. If T.J. McConnell leaves in free agency, Smart would bring some similarities in his playing style to help offset the loss.
