The Orlando Magic are a team that holds two lottery picks in the 2021 NBA Draft due to the Nikola Vucevic trade they made with the Chicago Bulls. While trading away an all-star caliber center wasn’t what they planned on doing, it did net them the No. 5 and No. 8 picks in this year’s draft.
Seeing that Jalen Suggs could be gone before the Magic are on the clock at five, they made need to make a trade to move up a pick or two.
Some would say that Suggs wouldn’t fit on Orlando’s roster due to the presences of Cole Anthony, Markelle Fultz, and R.J. Hampton. However, Fultz is returning from a serious knee injury and it remains to be seen what type of player he is once he returns.
Even though Anthony showed promise, it’s undetermined what role the Magic see for Hampton moving forward. Orlando could select Jalen Suggs in hopes of making Anthony and him their back court of the future.

The Magic have the fifth and eighth overall picks to offer, and young players that could be included in the deal.
