Lonzo Ball

Prediction: Signs with Chicago Bulls

As previously mentioned, Ball is a restricted free agent this summer, which means that the New Orleans Pelicans can match any offer sent his way. For instance, if a team offers him a four-year, $85 million deal, the Pelicans can decide to match it and sign him to the contract another team offered him.

However, it remains to be seen if New Orleans sees Ball as a long-term fit alongside Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson. We’ve known that Ball is a gifted passer and a stout defender, but his shooting has improved in the past two seasons, where he’s made 37.6 percent of his three-point attempts.

One of the teams looking for a point guard this offseason is the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls acquired Nikola Vucevic in a trade this season in hopes that he and Zach LaVine can help the franchise return to the playoffs.

Even though LaVine handles the ball often, getting a point guard that can ease some pressure off of LaVine would be ideal for Chicago.

The Bulls, the New York Knicks, and the Pelicans are the main teams to watch for Ball this offseason. Instead of matching the offer, my prediction is that Ball lands in Chicago this offseason.
