3. Draft a Perimeter Threat
The Utah Jazz currently hold the 30th and final pick in the first round of the 2021 NBA Draft. This does not mean that they will not get a prospect ready to contribute as a rookie.
This is a deep draft class and there will be plenty of options left for Utah when they are on the clock.
A name that comes to mind immediately is Trey Murphy III. He showed great ability during his one year at Virginie on both ends of the floor. If Utah is looking for a perimeter threat, Murphy fits the bill and also is a strong defender. Ayo Dosunmu is another potential fit but he might not be on the board.
If Utah wants to take a chance on a player, Nah’Shon Hyland out of VCU could be the dark-horse pick of this draft. He was able to light it up from three-point range last season and prove to be a legitimate scoring threat.
