Indiana Pacers Receive: F Ben Simmons
Philadelphia 76ers Receive: G Malcolm Brogdon, F TJ Warren and 2022 first-round pick
Ben Simmons would headline this deal as the newest member of the Indiana Pacers. Because of his recent performance and huge contract, the Philadelphia 76ers might not get back the return they once hoped for but they would get an immediate replacement.
It’s clear that Simmons has hurt his reputation recently and will have to perform at a high level to build it back up. That could be the greatest reason why the 76ers do not even look to trade him this offseason since they would receive a diminished return in doing so.
In this NBA trade scenario, Malcolm Brogdon would be the replacement for Simmons at the top of the offense for Philadelphia. This is a much better fit for the Sixers moving forward given his ability to thrive as a catch-and-shoot threat in addition to scoring, in general.
Philadelphia would also get some depth with TJ Warren coming in this deal. He will be entering the final year of his current contract. He could provide a needed scoring spark for a season with the goal of being able to re-sign him in the offseason.

There simply isn’t time to waste for the 76ers. Joel Embiid is playing at an elite level and the team needs to capitalize on it as soon as possible. Waiting for Ben Simmons to finally learn how to shoot a basketball is not going to get it done.
Let’s take a closer look and see how this NBA trade scenario centered around Ben Simmons would benefit both the Indiana Pacers and Philadelphia 76ers.
