Doe this trade make sense for the Houston Rockets?
The Houston Rockets were one of the worst teams in the league this year and that was to be expected after sending away their stars. They acquired John Wall in a trade that sent Russell Westbrook to the Washington Wizards.
It is likely that Wall is not a future piece for this team given his age and they can continue to build around some young talent. Whether it’s using a trade or a buyout, it seems very likely that Wall will soon find himself playing elsewhere. This talent can be acquired either on the trading block or in the NBA Draft.
The Rockets currently hold three first-round picks, including the No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. Houston would have to send two to Miami in this deal.
Houston brought in a new regime a year ago in the front office and with Stephen Silas as head coach. It is time that the Rockets makes the necessary changes in order to have a foundation for long-term success. Tyler Herro could be one of the players that helps the Rockets return to relevance along with whichever prospect they end up taking with the No. 2 overall selection.

Herro and Igoudala would be the return again in this deal. There is plenty of leadership and experience in the postseason. It will be interesting to see if the front office can continue to be aggressive and land a big move once again.
