The Miami Heat did not finish out the year the way they had hoped. After an NBA Finals’ appearance in the bubble last year, they entered the postseason as the sixth seed and were swept out of the first round by the Milwaukee Bucks. They are looking to turn their fortunes around this offseason and enter next season as contenders.

Miami has been linked to many big-name players, both in NBA free agency and on the trading block. The point-guard position is one that the Heat could be looking to improve right away.

Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo continue to be the dynamic duo in Miami but the lineup needs to be balanced a bit more. This is where the Heat could look to make a trade involving some of their young talent.

The Houston Rockets are a building team that could be interested in some of this talent. Houston set their sights on a full rebuild early in the year when both Russell Westbrook and James Harden were traded away. This led the Rockets to the worst record in the league and eventually the No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.

As for the Rockets, they missed out on the opportunity to draft Cade Cunningham but will still have a chance to land one of the best prospects in the class. That alone will not be enough, however.

A new front office in Houston showed aggressiveness last year and we could see the same thing moving forward. Here is an NBA trade scenario centered around Tyler Herro that could land them one of the young studs from the Heat.
