1. Los Angeles Lakers
GM Rob Pelinka and the Lakers’ front-office are always looking to make big moves in the offseason, so it should not come as a shocker to see them interested in Spencer Dinwiddie. Like their rivals in the Clippers, the only way the Lakers could make this happen is via a sign-and-trade, but they are definitely set up in a better position to land a high-level talent like Spencer Dinwiddie this offseason than the Clippers, Bulls and Knicks.
With LeBron James and Anthony Davis as their two superstars, the L.A. Lakers are going to be title contenders every single season, which is why guys like Dinwiddie could be attracted to joining them. Who knows what is going to happen with Dennis Schroder, but overall, Dinwiddie is likely cheaper and can do just as much as him in the Lakers’ system.
As stated before, playing closer to “home” is something that is appealing to Spencer Dinwiddie and his approach to free agency, which is why both the Clippers and Lakers find themselves as top-tier landing spots for the veteran point guard in free agency.
LeBron James is this team’s main facilitator and ball-handler, but as seen this year, the Lakers looked great having another guard in Dennis Schroder to lean on for offensive production. This is why Spencer Dinwiddie could fit in well with the Lakers.

His ability to create space for others, as well as get to the basket and score himself is extremely valuable. Dinwiddie has been in the league for 7 seasons, he is a proven scorer and he is a proven facilitator, which is why the Lakers are a prime destination for him in the offseason.
