2. Los Angeles Clippers
The Clippers are going to be a big question mark this offseason because whether or not they advance to the NBA Finals could play a big role in them switching things up in the offseason.
Kawhi Leonard has a player option for next season that he could opt out of, so Los Angeles could have to do some big “damage control” in the offseason, but they will be looking for a point guard as well.
With virtually no cap space, it is hard to imagine that the Clippers will be able to make a huge move in free agency, but they could potentially go after Spencer Dinwiddie in a sign-and-trade. Given the cap situations of both Brooklyn and Los Angeles, this would be difficult for sure, but it is a plausible option.
Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily News talked about Dinwiddie’s upcoming free agency and stated, “Home for Dinwiddie is Los Angeles, where he spent the entire season rehabbing from his ACL tear at Phenom Sports Performance.” Going back home is definitely something that would peak Dinwiddie’s interest, which is why the Clippers and Lakers are in play for him this offseason.

With Patrick Beverley and Rajon Rondo entering the final years of their contracts next season and the Clippers not really having a high-level point guard to help lead their offense, Spencer Dinwiddie could join this team and be that “third guy” they need next to Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.
Again, cap space is a big issue here and the Clippers would have to pay even more money via a sign-and-trade to bring in Dinwiddie, but it is a possibility for them in the offseason if they miss out on guys like Lonzo Ball and Kyle Lowry.
