Sacramento Kings Receive: F Jonathan Isaac
Orlando Magic Receive: F/C Marvin Bagley III, F Robert Woodard, No. 9 pick, 2022 first-round pick (lottery protection)
Jonathan Isaac has struggled with injuries over the course of his career. He was a highly-touted prospect that could use a change of scenery in a deal such as this one. There isn’t a need to outright move on from him, of course, but making a trade before going all-in on a rebuild makes sense.
Orlando could be looking to rebuild and squeeze the last ounce of value that Jonathan Isaac has left. A team that sorely needs upgrades defensively like the Sacramento Kings should jump on such an opportunity if it were to present itself.
If Sacramento is interested, they have plenty of assets they would be able to send back. It would begin with Marvin Bagley III and the ninth pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. Robert Woodard and a first-round pick in next year’s draft would also be on the move.

The intent would be for the Magic to continue to load up on draft assets by bringing in a third selection in the top 10 of the order. In doing so, Orlando would have the potential to make a compelling trade up offer to get into the top 3 of the 2021 NBA Draft.
Let’s take a closer look and see how this NBA trade scenario centered around Jonathan Isaac would impact both the Orlando Magic and Sacramento Kings.
