Does this trade make sense for the Philadelphia 76ers?
The Philadelphia 76ers have leaned on their dynamic duo throughout the rebuilding process. Now that they are championship contenders, it seems to be all but completed. If Philadelphia suffers another early exit and a disappointing end to the season, the front office could decide to make a move.

Ben Simmons would be the player being traded away. His inability to shoot from three-point range has been a huge problem for years now. This has made critics believe that he is not as good as he can be. The front office added shooters on the perimeter around Simmons and Embiid in the offseason. Seth Curry is playing at an extremely high level to this point but more could be needed.
If Zach LaVine is part of the return, this seems like a no-brainer for Philadelphia. He is one of the top scorers in the league and could help take the Sixers to where they want to be. His ability to convert on pull-up jumpers at a high clip from beyond the arc would be a highly helpful change of pace with Joel Embiid.
This would certainly be a blockbuster in the offseason. Anything could happen after the 76ers put together yet another underachieving postseason appearance with the play of Ben Simmons being a pivotal play in that being the case.
