The Philadelphia 76ers finished with the best record in the Eastern Conference this season. They landed the top seed but are one game away from elimination against the Atlanta Hawks. The new regime of Daryl Morey and Doc Rivers made plenty of moves in year one and that can continue this NBA offseason.
Both Morey and Rivers said that they have no interest in trading either Ben Simmons or Joel Embiid. That was at the beginning of the regular season and the notion could have changed. Everyone knows that Embiid is not going anywhere, especially after the MVP-caliber season he put up this year. That leaves Simmons as a trade piece for the Sixers.

After his recent production in the postseason, moving Simmons via trade might not be the worst idea. His terrible free throw shooting was crippling and he not only remains unwilling to shoot jump shots, he is now turning away opportunities to finish at the rim.
The Chicago Bulls could be a wild card team to keep an eye on in the Simmons sweepstakes. Chicago decided to hang onto their big-name players at the deadline and even added one in Nikola Vucevic. Zach LaVine and Lauri Markkanen were thought to be on the move but the Bulls decided to go in the other direction. Simmons would give them a strong option at the top of the offense.
This could certainly be a deal on the rise if Chicago wants to continue to move towards competing. Let’s take a look at what a potential NBA trade scenario centered might look like between these two sides.
