Before being eliminated in the first round by the Suns, the Lakers shot a putrid 29.9 percent from beyond the arc, which was the second-worst among playoff teams. So who could Los Angeles add at shooting guard to create more spacing and more efficient scoring from outside?
The Sacramento Kings could be sellers this offseason, with Buddy Hield being an intriguing trade candidate. Hield, who turns 29 in December, is a career 40.6 percent three-point marksman that has averaged 16+ points per game in the last three seasons.
With LeBron James being a pass-first player, shooters always thrive alongside him on offense. Imagine having to guard both James and Anthony Davis, with Buddy Hield having the most space he’s ever had to shoot on the outside.
