It has been quite some time since we haven’t seen LeBron James in at least the second round of the NBA playoffs. You would have to go all the way back to 2005 as the last season that James wasn’t taking part in a second-round series in the postseason.

For the first time in his career this season, James was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs, with the Los Angeles Lakers falling to the Phoenix Suns. Everything fell apart at the wrong time for the Lakers, with injuries to Anthony Davis and James derailing their chances of repeating as champions.

While Los Angeles already got a title out of their duo of Davis and James, LeBron isn’t getting any younger. In light of that, there are undoubtedly going to be roster moves made by the Lakers this offseason in hopes to be a title contender again in 2021-22.
