Kyle Lowry
Speaking of one of the premier options at guard, Kyle Lowry is going to be a coveted free agent this summer. Kyle Lowry was a popular name at this season’s NBA trade deadline as the Toronto Raptors were trending in the wrong direction. Despite Toronto’s descent in the Eastern Conference, Lowry wasn’t traded, giving him an opportunity to choose where he wants to play in the offseason.

One of the teams that spoke to the Raptors about a possible trade was the Los Angeles Lakers. While it wasn’t discussed what the potential deal for Lowry was, Los Angeles can now make a run at Lowry without (possibly) having to give up anything but money. Even at 35 years old, Kyle Lowry is worth adding due to his contributions on both ends of the floor.
The Lakers desperately need to add firepower to their backcourt, and Kyle Lowry would give them just that. Lowry never takes a night off as he’ll always give one-hundred percent effort in every game.
Acquiring Kyle Lowry would give Los Angeles someone else who can facilitate the ball, along with a nagging defender on the other side of the court. At the same time, a move for Lowry would fit the Lakers’ win-now mentality with James entering his 19th season in the NBA.
