Dallas Mavericks
Kawhi Leonard doesn’t seem like a player that would pull off what Kevin Durant did in the summer of 2016, where he joined forces with the team that eliminated him in the playoffs in the Golden State Warriors. But maybe Leonard would join a team that almost beat him in the first round?

Against the Dallas Mavericks in the first round in the past two years, Leonard has seen firsthand how special Luka Doncic is as a player.
Luka Doncic is only 22 years old and he’s almost single-handedly led the Mavericks to series wins over the Clippers. While Doncic is still young and getting even better, Leonard would fit perfectly alongside him in Dallas. Leonard would have a superstar in Doncic that is willing to facilitate the ball, and Doncic doesn’t shy away from clutch moments in games.
Having someone that can create for others and create his own shot is something that is needed for Leonard. While Paul George can do those things, Doncic is on another level, even this early in his career.
To make a move for Kawhi Leonard work, the Mavericks can move Kristaps Porzingis this offseason, along with maneuvering other pieces on the roster. Besides Leonard, Dallas could potentially add another notable name in the offseason to create more depth. A duo of Doncic and Leonard would be a scary sight for teams in the Western Conference.
