It almost seems as if every time the Los Angeles Clippers lose in these NBA playoffs, there are questions being posed. What should the Clippers do this offseason in hopes to alter their future trajectory? Could Kawhi Leonard opt-out and enter free agency to join another team to achieve his goal of competing for another title?
All of these questions are fair, but they are continually put on the back burner when the Clippers win in the postseason. However, if the Clippers fall short of a title again this season, there’s going to be murmurs of a shakeup in Los Angeles.

Kawhi Leonard has a player option this offseason, which could allow him to test NBA free agency instead of returning the Clippers. If the Clippers fail to get the job done in the Western Conference Semifinals against the Utah Jazz, it’s natural to look towards what the aftermath could be.
Aside from Leonard’s situation, the team handed Paul George an expensive long-term deal before this season. George could also be on his way out of Los Angeles if the team fails to live up to expectations this season.
On the other hand, all of these questions could wither away if the Clippers come from behind to defeat the Utah Jazz in the Conference Semi-Finals, and they proceed to win a title. But what if Los Angeles gets ousted again before the Conference Finals.
In the scenario that the Clippers fall short of achieving their potential again, there are a couple of teams that Leonard should consider leaving the Clippers for in free agency.
