The Nets still have the momentum in this series despite losing Game 3 on the road
Despite losing Game 3, it is hard not to say that the Nets still control the momentum in this series and are still in line to win this series in five games. The Bucks have not shown anything in this series that makes us stop and say, “wow, this team has a chance to win a championship.”
Giannis has been Giannis, getting to the rim with ease, but then settling for jump shots that he is not going to make and Khris Middleton stepped up in Game 3, but overall this Bucks team is just not as talented as the Nets. Even without James Harden on the court commanding the offense, the Nets still look locked in and they are making mostly every possession look effortless.

Kevin Durant is knocking down mid-range shots with multiple hands in his face, Kyrie Irving is still slicing up the Bucks’ defense on the drive and with Bruce Brown, a 6’4” guard out-rebounding the likes of Giannis and Lopez underneath, things just do not look good for Milwaukee in this series.
The Bucks are working extremely hard for every single bucket they get against the Nets, yet Brooklyn runs what looks like an All-Star game type of offense and they get the shots that they want, knocking them down at a high percentage.
Milwaukee showed flashes of what they can do against the Nets, coming out hot in the first quarter of Game 3 and taking an early 30-11 lead, but they need to be able to sustain their success on the court. It seemed like they just let the Nets get right back in the game to begin the second quarter, which cannot happen moving forward in this series for the Bucks.
Winning 12 minutes against the Nets is a small victory, but in order to win the war against them, the Bucks are going to need to come out and sustain this same high-level competitiveness all game long over the next few games of this series. If they don’t, then Brooklyn will take Game 4 in Milwaukee and then be able to close out this series on their home court.
