Brooklyn was terrible offensively, yet they only lost by 3
After scoring just 11 points in the first quarter of Game 3, Brooklyn was able to turn things on in the second quarter, scoring 31 points, but in the second-half, they only scored 41 total points. This was arguably the worst offensive performance by Brooklyn all season long and we definitely have to give credit to Milwaukee.
The Bucks looked locked in defensively and actually looked motivated for once in this series, but in the end, the Nets really did beat themselves because they just simply were not hitting shots. Joe Harris missed a ton of wide-open jumpers and as a team, the Nets shot just 36.2% from the floor.

During the regular season, Brooklyn shot 49.4% from the floor, which was the best shooting percentage in the league and during the NBA playoffs, they were averaging 49.6% from the floor before this Game 3 loss.
The Nets looked terrible on offensive, only playing through Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, yet they only lost by three points. Oh, and they were without a guy named James Harden, yet again, who is presumably pretty good at basketball.
Looking back at Game 3, the Nets should be feeling very good about themselves even though they lost. They scored 83 total points, shot 36.2% from the floor and shot just 25% from three-point range, yet they only lost by three points to one of the better teams in the entire league.
Brooklyn has dominated Milwaukee in every single game of this series in some aspect, which is why they should not be concerned after losing Game 3. The Bucks held a 20+ point lead, yet that was not enough to put the Nets away, which is why Brooklyn still has the momentum in this series.
