CJ McCollum
Things are looking bleak for the Portland Trail Blazers in their first round series versus the Denver Nuggets. Portland lost Game 5 in double-overtime despite a historic 55-point performance from Damian Lillard, in which he connected on 12 of his 17 three-point attempts.

Lillard looked dejected after the game, and if the Trail Blazers get bounced out in the first round for the fifth time in the past seven years, changes could be coming.
Portland has been searching for years for a mix of talented players to surround Lillard with, but it always seems as if they’re missing a piece or two. While Lillard could be untouchable in trade talks, CJ McCollum might be a name to watch in the offseason.
CJ McCollum has been a fantastic No. 2 option behind Lillard, averaging 20+ points per game in each of the past six seasons. The 29-year-old shooting guard is capable of creating his own shot and can be a streaky shooter on the wing.
The Heat need more outside shooting on the roster, and finding someone that can get their own shot would be a bonus. A trio of Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and CJ McCollum wouldn’t be an awful idea if Miami is unable to land one of the bigger names in free agency or in a trade.
