If you would’ve told me at the start of the postseason that the Miami Heat would be the first team eliminated in the 2020-2021 NBA playoffs, I would’ve laughed at you. However, Miami would be the first team sent packing after the Milwaukee Bucks made quick work of them by defeating them in four games. The Heat were the only team to be swept in the first round.

Seeing Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo exert all of their energy for the second straight season with no consistent help showed Pat Riley that the roster needs some tweaking this offseason.

To be fair, Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo didn’t play their best either against the Bucks. But if Miami wants to return to being a title contender in the Eastern Conference, they need a third option behind Butler and Adebayo.

Seeing that the Heat are severely limited in future draft capital, they might be more active in free agency than they are on the trade market. That being said, they have a few young players to offer to teams for a star that could result in a blockbuster trade taking place.

Besides the free agents they meet with, here are a few players that the Miami Heat should be pursuing aggressively via trade this offseason.
